Book Review by Tabitha Makumi, Enabling Support Foundation Communications and PR.
A sad tale in early reading and learning is Shhhhh! which tells the story of a mother in a noisy environment. With a baby in early reading and learning, the mother tries all she can to silence the bus, the radio, helicopter and all that’s around her.
In a noisy environment, the baby in early reading and learning learns new vocabulary from all the background noise such as “beepity beep” and the type of noises an instrument, vehicle, helicopter and a train makes.

Authored by Sam Wilson, Illustrated by Alex Latimer, Designed by Anita van Der Merwe and edited by Robert Plummer, Shhhhh! sees the brighter side of noise pollution where a baby learns new sounds and words.
